We're pleased to announce that LabSSH v2.6.3 has been released! We've updated the download page, where you can find links to download the program or browse the documentation.

This is a patch release. This means that new API features were added. Backwards compatibility has been retained with the previous version. 

Let's dive in and see what's changed.

LabSSH 2.6.1 is now available. This release is a patch release, which contains only bug fixes (no new features) and remains backward-compatible with prior 2.x versions.

Introduction

This article will cover the various authentication methods in the SSH protocol, and how to authenticate an SSH session in LabVIEW using the LabSSH toolkit. A simple VI example will be provided at the end.

The authentication methods to be covered are:

1. Plain password authentication
   
2. Public key authentication using a private key file
   
3. Agent-based authentication
   
4. Keyboard-interactive authentication, also known as challenge-response authentication.
